These terms govern your use of the DentaShop app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What DentaShop is
DentaShop is a marketplace. We connect dental professionals with independent dental supply shops. We are not the seller of the products listed. Each order is a contract between you and the shop you buy from. The shop is responsible for its products, their description, pricing, quality, legality and fulfilment.
2. Who can use it
Accounts are intended for dental professionals and for dental supply businesses operating in Lebanon or Syria. You must be at least 18. Shop accounts and delivery accounts are provisioned and verified by us, and we may decline or withdraw verification at our discretion.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Your phone number is your login identifier. Keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
- One account per person or business.
4. Orders and payment
- All orders are cash on delivery. You pay the courier when your order arrives. DentaShop never takes card or bank details.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and are set by the shop. A shop may offer lower unit prices at higher quantities.
- A delivery fee is payable to the courier on delivery, in addition to the order total. The fee is set by the driver who takes your order, once the shop has accepted it. You are told the fee and the new total immediately, in the app and by notification.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. The order is confirmed when the shop accepts it.
- You may cancel at any time until the courier collects the order from the shop — including after seeing the delivery fee. A shop may cancel a pending or processing order — for example if an item is out of stock — and must give a reason.
- If you refuse a delivery at the door, the order is returned to the shop. Repeated refusals may result in suspension (see section 5).
- You can only buy from shops in your registered country. You may browse the other country's listings, but not order from them.
- Stock counts are maintained by shops and may occasionally be inaccurate.
5. Delivery
Delivery is carried out by independent courier companies and their drivers. Once a driver takes your order you are shown the driver's name and phone number so you can coordinate the hand-over, and the driver receives your delivery name, phone number, address and any location pin you attached. Please make sure someone can receive the order at the address you gave and pay the amount due. Repeatedly refusing accepted deliveries may result in suspension.
6. If you are a shop
- List only products you are legally permitted to sell, with accurate descriptions, photos, prices and stock.
- Keep stock levels current, and accept or cancel orders promptly.
- You are responsible for any warranty, refund or regulatory obligation attaching to what you sell.
- Only upload images you have the right to use.
- Platform fee. DentaShop charges a platform fee of 2% of the order value, with a minimum of US$0.50, on every delivered order. The fee is deducted by the courier: when the driver collects an order, they pay you the order value minus the fee, in cash, and the app shows you this exact amount before you accept the order. No fee is charged on cancelled or returned orders. The fee is fixed on each order when the driver accepts it; a change to the rate never applies to orders already accepted. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any change to the rate or minimum.
- Returned orders. If a buyer refuses delivery, the driver returns the goods to you and you refund the driver the amount you were paid at collection.
- Shop location and hours. You may set your shop's location pin and opening hours. The pin is shown to drivers (to find you and to judge distance) and to buyers; the hours are shown to buyers. Keep both accurate.
- By continuing to use a shop account after these terms take effect you accept the platform fee. The app asks you to confirm this once.
6a. If you are a delivery company or driver
- Delivery accounts are provisioned by us for the company; the company manages its own driver accounts and is responsible for its drivers' conduct.
- When a driver accepts an order they set the delivery fee. The buyer is told immediately and may cancel until collection. The fee cannot be changed afterwards.
- At collection the driver pays the shop the order value minus the platform fee; at delivery the driver collects the order value plus the delivery fee from the buyer. The delivery fee belongs to the courier. The platform fee is held for DentaShop.
- The company remits the platform fees it holds on a weekly statement, issued every Saturday for the week just ended and due the following Wednesday.
- The driver's name and phone number are shown to the shop and the buyer of each order they take.
- While the "Available" list is open, the app may use the driver's current position to sort orders by distance. The position is used for that request only and is not stored or tracked.
- A driver who accepts an order is responsible for completing it; orders may be reassigned only by the company manager.
7. Reviews
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. You may post one review per product, and posting again replaces your previous one. Do not post false, abusive, or promotional content, or anyone's personal information. Reviews are public and show your name. We may remove reviews that breach these terms.
8. Things you must not do
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or to sell counterfeit or prohibited goods.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your professional status.
- Interfere with the app's operation, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or scrape or bulk-extract listings.
- Place orders you do not intend to receive and pay for.
9. Availability
We aim to keep DentaShop available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features.
10. Our responsibility
Because we are a marketplace and not the seller, we are not responsible for the products themselves, for a shop's or courier's acts or omissions, or for disputes between you and a shop. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Subject to that, our liability arising from your use of the app is limited to the value of the order the claim relates to.
11. Disputes about an order
Raise problems with the shop first through the contact details on your order. If that does not resolve it, contact us at privacy@dentashop.app and we will try to help, though we are not party to the sale.
12. Suspension and closing your account
You may delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
13. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will notify you in the app of significant changes. Continuing to use DentaShop after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
DentaShop operates in Lebanon and Syria. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute.
This does not take away rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country you live in. If you are resident in Syria, you keep any protection Syrian law gives you that cannot be contracted out of, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows it.
Your contract for the goods themselves is with the shop you buy from, which may be subject to the laws of the country that shop operates in. You can only order from shops in your own registered country, so in practice the sale, the delivery and the cash payment all take place within one country.
